Each student has an Individual Learning Plan, where the student, family, and advisor can oversee student progress. This lack of tailored support can lead to disengagement, declining academic performance, and a decrease in self-confidence, impacting their future success. At Mayacamas Countywide, we use tools like Teach-to-One, an AI-driven math supplement that allows students to master math on a skill-by-skill basis geared towards 9th grade algebra, to meet our students where they are.
Mayacamas Countywide Gives Our Students Real-World Experiences
At Mayacamas Countywide, we leverage our downtown Napa location and our strong community support to provide students with lots of opportunities to explore real-life experiences. Our students have visited the local courts to learn about our judicial system, explored art installations in Napa and Sonoma, and walked to the public library. Through the Mayacamas College and Career Explorers Program, we will visit colleges and universities for lectures and tours, and technical schools for a look at trades. Our teachers will follow-up with group projects, and students will have the opportunity to consider different post-secondary pathways.
